Radio talk on Diabetes risks and prevention of complications in People's FM, Yenagoa in Bayelsa State of Nigeria.
The talk was based on the 'Theme' Know your risks, know you response, where the public was sensitize on the risks of getting Diabetes, symptoms, and encouraged to seek care when they have those symptoms. And for those who are already diabetic, what they need to know and do to prevent complications.The phone line was opened to the public to ask questions and get clarifications in areas of confusion. It was an hour programme sponsored by the Bayelsa State Government.
Panel discussion was done by Dr. Nneka Chukwuma an Endocrinologist and myself -Dr. Awudu, Toboulayefa, desk officer for Non-Communicable diseases in the State.
