To kick off our November activities, DiaLeb held an educational session to nutrition students at the university of the Holy Spirit USEK. DiaLeb's president, Dr. Jackie Kassouf Maalouf discussed the importance of diabetes awareness and education both to the community, as well as to healthcare professionals. She expressed that this is key to achieving sustainable health.
Dr. Maalouf also talked about the 17 SDGs, highlighting the importance of implementing those UN goals within our healthcare systems.
Educational materials were distributed to the attendees.
