The Lions club international District404A3 adopted November as #diabetes month, being a core global cause for the Lions and 1 of 8 global causes that Lions Club International is creating awareness and advocating about.
The District Governor-Lion S.A. Balogun through the District Committee Chairperson-Lion Osarenkhoe Ethel Chima-Nwogwugwu/IDF-Nigeria spokesperson for WDD2023 press release via the 55 Lions club and 16 Leos club conducted several activities to celebrate #WDD2023 from 1st to 30th November 20223 promoting the theme: Know Your Risk, Know Your Response.
We started off on 1st Nov. social media #diabetes awareness campaign #WDD2023 posters on Lions members network,then collaborated with General Hospital Gbagada,Diabetes Association of Nigeria(DAN)-Gbagada and Diabetes & Limb Salvage Foundation(DLSF) on 14th November had a physical activity/medical screening for type2 complications and as while we had 2 radio interviews morning Yabatech Radi 89.3fm and evening Utimate 88.5fm . Others clubs conducted medical activities in their various communities while organised a health walk.
The District Diabetes Chairperson(DDC) wears many caps for #Diabetes ,as a Blue Circle Network member Nigeria team ,she decorated many great individuals for their support towards #diabetes with the Blue Circle pins and the blue wristband bring their minds on #diabetes always.

Free Glucometers and strips were donated to indigent participants.
The activities for #Diabetes is continuous in Lions Club District404A3.
