November is the month of diabetes awareness

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease, which may go undiagnosed for a long time, because of lack of symptoms. As the disease progresses, it can manifest as thirst, dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, general weakness and fatigue, or changes in weight etc. So the disease is often detected in an advanced stage, when complications begin to develop. The only way to detect diabetes mellitus early and avoid complications is to test plasma glucose.

This year, Hormodernus clinic contributes to the diabetes month initiative and invites people who want to check their blood glucose levels to do so for FREE on November 14th.
