The course is characterized by its novel nature, necessitating the utilization of continuous blood glucose monitoring sensors and insulin pumps by qualified medical workers for a duration of 3 days. Throughout this period, a group of five physicians imparts the theoretical concepts about the functioning of the insulin pump, both fundamental and advanced configurations, the analysis of specialized reports, and the specific treatment protocols. Additionally, they address potential complications that may emerge during insulin pump therapy. The instructors of the course include diabetes experts and general practitioners from Iasi, Craiova, and Timisoara. We refer to Dr. Delia Reurean Pintilei, Dr. Anamaria Meauca, Dr. Magda Rosu, Prof. Dr. Bogdan Timar, and Dr. Adrian Cureniuc.
