DCFI & DCRC is actively involved in mass diabetes awareness campaign, #hellodiabetes. We have following tentative plan for Nov 23 for Diabetes Awareness month. We have multiple activities at our workplace and other social platforms with the help of NGOs. Details of few activities are as below:
1. Education session in local languages .
2. Free Screening Camps for Liver Fibrosis (Fibroscan) for people with T2DM
3. Free BMD Camps for PWD,
4. Rewards to PWD for their achievements of reaching their health related goals (Eg HbA1c target, BP targets, LDL/Lipid targets, Weight targets)
5. Diet Exhibition: Display of various models and Live demo of Insulin Injection Technique, Hypoglycaemia etc
6. Diabetes Awareness and Yoga sessions in the Public Gardens for masses ( appx 4-6).
7. Insulin Workshop for Resident Doctors of a medical college and for Nurses.
8. Insulin Workshop for People with T1DM and for T2DM on Insulin therapy
9. Mass education through ALL INDIA RADIO on 2nd & 4th Friday at 10am: A LIVE Phone-In interactive program.
10. Free Insulin and other supports to needy Type 1DM.
