Diabetes India Youth in Action NGO organised a diabetes awareness walkathon and free screening camp in collaboration with Dr Anil Gomber, Diabetologist in Delhi, India. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, encourage people about the importance of physical activity, lifestyle modification to manage diabetes and prevent diabetes complications. We also conducted a session on Nutrition Essentials and Diabetes management tips to a healthy life. Free health camp was also organised with blood sugar, HBA1C, Blood pressure and bone density screening for all the attendees. The event was attended by healthcare professionals, healthcare providers, people living with diabetes, their caregivers and also general public.
