Diabetes screening and awareness programs focusing on the greater Male’ area, which was conducted during the month of November 2023. As an on-going activity of DSM, the diabetes screening programs has paved a pathway in making a positive, long-lasting impact on the health and well-being of people with diabetes or at risk of diabetes in the Maldives.
The WDD 2023 screening programs will incorporate a holistic approach: screening on diabetes and risk factors common to NCDs, providing one-on-one lifestyle health advice and medical consultations at the screening site or referrals and follow-up at a health facility or hospitals.
