City Healthy Group is a registered community health services company for non-communicable diseases of Diabetes and Hypertension.
It was founded in 2021 by now, Dr. Kaija Denis of Mbarara University of Science Technology and resident of Kasese District.

We operate in the cities of Kampala, Mbarara, Kasese, and Fort Portal through community-based screening programs and follow up of diagnosed and high-risk patients through the home-based approach of home visits.

In this recent activity, we moved through people's homes and workplaces in the city of Mbarara to screen individuals for diabetes with the "FINDRISC" screening tool that was followed by random blood sugars, fasting blood sugars, Oral Glucose Tolerance Tests and HbA1C as guided by the guidelines.

We reached a total of 400 individuals screened in 15 working days. 36 were already known Diabetes patients but with poor glucose control. 15 were new Diabetes diagnoses.
89 were obese and prediabetic. The remaining 260 individuals had normal blood sugars.
