On November 14, 2024, the Kapuas branch of the Indonesian Diabetes Association (Persadia) commemorated World Diabetes Day at City Mall Kuala Kapuas. The event, led by Chairman Haryunedi, featured a health walk, group exercise, and a ceremony where Jum'atil Fajar, Secretary of the Kapuas Health Office, emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and improved healthcare access for diabetes patients. Participants also engaged in creative exercises and received free health screenings from Melati and Pulau Telo Health Centers.

The event was attended by representatives from the Kapuas Police, Military District Command 1011 Kuala Kapuas, Selat Dalam Village Head, and Ahmad Haspiani, Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Kapuas Health Office, highlighting cross-sector collaboration in diabetes prevention and management. The program concluded with a collective commitment to healthy living and increased awareness of diabetes prevention.
