It's an event collaboration with 88.5UFM Lagos, Gbagada General Hospital management, along with our sister NGOs and some other stakeholders, we are to have a 4 day event starting 11th to 14th November.
1. Day 1 involves radio interviews and TV interviews.
2. Day 2 involves visiting Ifako Comprehensive Senior Secondary school to speak about diabetes prevention and management through exercises, healthy eating choices ,support system and educating also about diabetes stigma & discrimination.
Aerobic dance will commence after school visit. There will be medical screening of glucose level & BP check before aerobic dance.
3. Day 3 involves Blue Circle walk around our communities and blood drive donations is also happening simultaneously to support the host Hospital blood bank. There will be medical screening for glucose level & BP check.
4. Day 4 is the grand finale for World Diabetes Day #2024Gbagada, there will be peripheral Neuropathy screening, body composition check, glucose level & BP checks, foot screening (by US-based Podiatrist ). There will free gifts to be won and games too.
