On World Diabetes Day 2024, 200 people from 12 rural communities gathered to raise awareness and promote health. Participants walked 10 kilometers from the river to the Medical Center, where they enthusiastically joined Zumba dances.
The event concluded with a vibrant health fair featuring blood glucose and blood pressure screenings, educational talks, and samples of healthy foods.
It was a day of unity, activity, and learning, aimed at fostering better diabetes care and well-being with people living in small villages.
