Nurturing Wellness: Senate’s Commitment to Health

Senate employees took a brief break from their daily work to participate in a wellness seminar aimed at combating and managing diabetes, a disease affecting over 4.3 million Filipinos.

Employees attended the wellness seminar organized by External Affairs and Relations Special Services in collaboration with the Senate Medical and Dental Bureau Thursday, October 17, 2024, where health professionals and dietitians provided insights on managing diabetes through nutrition and conducted a hands-on workshop on understanding carbohydrates.

Deputy Secretary Arnel Bañas emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and expressed hope that the event would raise awareness and improve efforts in fighting and managing diabetes.
