Event Title: "Taking Action on Diabetes in Uganda: Join the Movement for a Healthier Future"

Event Dates: November 14th (World Diabetes Day)-16th December,2024

Event Objective:
To raise awareness about diabetes, its complications, and prevention strategies, while promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting individuals with diabetes.

Host Organization: Goshen's Fountain of Nutrition and Health (NGO)
Activities:

Research Component:
- Launch of the 6 months research study on "Diabetes and Well-being in Maternal Health" in Uganda
- Presentation of research objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes

Media Activity:
- Press conference with a local media outlet to discuss diabetes burden and research findings
- Social media campaign (#WDD2024 #TakeActionOnDiabetes) to share facts, personal stories, and prevention tips

Physical Activity:
- Charity walk/run (5K) to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles
- Aerobics sessions and fitness demonstrations

Screening for Diabetes Complications:
- Free glucose testing and screening for diabetes-related complications (e.g., foot care, eye exams)
- Consultations with healthcare professionals for risk assessment and prevention strategies

Activity in the Workplace:
- Workplace wellness seminar: "Managing Diabetes in the Workplace"

Activity in Schools:
