Madenat Alelem University College in Baghdad, Iraq, successfully hosted a celebration event on November 3, 2024, in honor of World Diabetes Day. The event featured two informative presentations by the dean of the college ( Prof. Faris Abdul Kareem) covering the epidemiology and management of diabetes, highlighting the significant role of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and its successful initiatives in diabetes care worldwide. The celebration also included a social component, where university students participated in checking blood glucose levels for fellow students and college staff, promoting early detection and awareness. Educational materials were distributed to further increase understanding and encourage proactive management of diabetes among the college community.
