Screening for diabetic retinopathy on World Diabetes Day 2024 in Vinnytsia
On 14 November 2024, a special screening event aimed at early detection of diabetic retinopathy will be held at the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Endocrinology Centre to mark World Diabetes Day. This is an important opportunity for people with diabetes to check for this potentially sight-threatening disease, which often develops without early warning signs.
This year, the screening process will use the advanced artificial intelligence system iCare ILLUME. This innovative technology improves the accuracy of diagnosis by quickly analysing retinal images and accurately detecting early signs of diabetic retinopathy.
The screening is open to all diabetes patients in the Vinnytsia region and is part of a wider initiative to raise awareness of diabetes complications.
