Community based programme to reduce diabetes-related amputations . Using its Foot Care Karavan, the APSA team of nurses and health educators visit the South of Mauritius to offer the following services:

For people diagnosed with diabetes:

- Screening (blood sugar, waist circumference, blood pressure) 

- Foot check (screening for possible complications) 

- Preventative care for corns and nails 

- Foot care education

- Distribution of educational tools 

General public:

- Screening (blood sugar, waist circumference, blood pressure)  

- Advice and education on foot care (educational sessions and distribution of educational tools)
