World Diabetes Day Health Education Session at UHTC, Bheemili
On 14th November, in observance of World Diabetes Day, the Department of Community organized an educational health session at the UHTC, Bheemili. The session was conducted by the Medical Officer along with the Interns. The event aimed to raise awareness about Type 2 Diabetes and promote healthier lifestyles in the community.
The session included:
1. Educational Presentations:
Informative video and image presentations were shown to the attendees, covering important aspects of diabetes, its prevention, and management.
2. Free Diabetes Screening:
A free screening for Type 2 Diabetes was conducted for all those who attended, helping identify individuals who may be at risk.
3. Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle:
A key part of the session focused on promoting exercise and healthy living. Simple exercises that can be incorporated into daily life were demonstrated to encourage active living and prevent lifestyle-related diseases.
The event successfully reached out to the community, providing valuable information and health services while encouraging proactive steps toward a healthier future.
