B.DIA SAÚDE - Workshop with puppet theater and conversation circle

The main objective of this workshop is to improve health literacy related to Diabetes. Especially among people who do not have access to knowledge about their own health/illness condition.

The choice of the scientific theater technique is based on the intention of making the topic of Diabetes something easier, more attractive to discuss and find ways to lead a healthy life with this chronic condition. With theater, we reach people of all ages, including families and caregivers to create an ecosystem of care.

Activity 1: Puppet theater with the story “As Betinhas and the DIA Family”
Diabetes: seen from another angle. In a good-humorous way, the characters experience the context of diabetes, its challenges and achievements.
Activity 2: Conversation circle: Audience interaction with the story, encouraging reflection on their own reality, their weaknesses, their strengths in relation to their health/illness condition.
Activity 3: Guidance leaflet on diabetes prevention and control with pharmaceutical guidance on rational use of medicines.
Activity 4: Healthy snack with opportunity for interaction between participants, awakening them to self-care and to health self-management
