Department of Biochemistry , Sri Aurobindo Medical College and PGI, observed the World Diabetes Day successfully. Clinical Biochemistry plays crucial role in diabetes care by providing laboratory services involved in diagnosis and
Monitoring of blood glucose.

Right from Fasting blood glucose, Random blood glucose, SMBG, Glycated hemoglobin, fructosamine , OGTT to CGM, Biochemistry plays a crucial role in providing quality lab services. Hence On 7th Nov the event began for 1st Year MBBS professionals who were oriented towards Continuous Glucose Monitoring and were asked to take up the Online course provided by International Diabetes Federation . The event successfully observed the theme, Breaking Barriers Bridging gaps, where in the barriers of lack of information was broken and Gaps in lack of knowledge was bridged by this effective course.

Till 14th Nov nearly 200 students enthusiastically took part and completed the course.The event was closed on 16th Nov with felicitation and cake cutting ceremony.

The event was possible because of support and encouragement by Founder Chairman Dr Vinod Bhandari sir, Chancellor Dr Manjushree Bhandari madam, Prochancellors , Dr Mohit Bhandari sir and Dr Mahak Bhandari sir ,Vice Chancellor Dr Jyoti Bindal Madam, Dean Student welfare Dr Jaishree Tapadia madam, Dean Dr RR Wavare sir
