A scientific meeting of WDD celebration has been organised by diabetes department in general ophthalmology hospital for health care professionals physicians and pharmacists in all hospitals and health care units in the city.

Firstly by letter from hospital director Dr.Ahmed Khattab and head of medical board Dr. Maha Magdy, diabetes head department Dr. Heba Abdel Razek and the clinical pharmacist in the department Randa William to the policy maker in Ministry of Health and Population. The letter was approved by Undersecretary of Ministry of Health Dr. Ghada Nada, under the patronage of whom the event was held, and by the continued encouragement and approval of director of therapeutic medicine Dr. Hala towards integrated event.

Monday 25 November 2024 ,event begins by lecture for Associated teacher Dr. Mai Badra from diabetes department University of Alexandria, entitled " Diagnosis and management of diabetes" then lecture for diabetes WDD 2024 by clinical pharmacist Randa William titled "Breaking barriers and bridging gaps for well-being WDD 2024" asking HCP to spread this message in their workplaces with their colleagues and in practice.

This was followed by a presentation by the Head of the Scientific Board Dr. Maha Magdy, who explained example of cardiovascular complications in her lecture titled " Retinopathy management". HCPs expressed their pleasure and profit from elegant presentation which was terminated by Eva pharmaceutical company and their talk about insulin types and update in Egyptian market.
