We held the World Diabetes Day event in Mogadishu, Somalia, in cooperation with Somalia Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Mogadishu Faculty of Health Sciences and Diabetes Nursing Association.
I was worked as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse at the Diabetes Outpatient Clinic of Istanbul University Medical Faculty Hospital between 1996–2016. I have M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Internal Medicine Nursing and is currently an Professor at the Sağlık Bilimleri University. I also is a member of the Turkish Diabetes Foundation and an wise presedent of the Diabetes Nursing Association in Turkey. Furthermore, she was an executive committee member of FEND between 2007 and 2012.
I came to the University of Health Sciences Somalia-Mogadishu Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Faculty of Health Sciences to give lectures. I made this program to raise awareness here. It was very effective.It was a unique experience.
