I met with young adults who have relatives living with diabetes. We held several discussions as they shared their challenges. Our main message was that people living with diabetes also want to be loved, cared for and included in social activities just like any other person.

The girls were open as they talked about mood swings, comas and uncertainities. They wer very happy to have a listening ear although they themselves did not have the condition.

Creating awareness is keyy in encouraging social wellness for people living with diabetes.
