The Effective Pharmacy Society is launching its Protective Health Campaign in November 2024, in line with the theme set by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) for World Diabetes Day on November 14. The campaign will be carried out throughout the month with the active participation of member pharmacies.
As part of the Diabetes Awareness Campaign, the FINDRISC Questionnaire, approved by the IDF, will be administered to clients in our member pharmacies. Based on the results, individuals will be provided with self-care brochures, and those in the high-risk group will be referred to healthcare professionals with a doctor letter indicating their risk assessment results.
The "Is This You?" cards, prepared as part of the Effective Pharmacy Society’s Diabetes Awareness Campaign, aim to draw attention to prediabetes symptoms and facilitate diabetes risk assessments in member pharmacies. Special cards with QR codes linked to the diabetes risk questionnaire have been distributed to pharmacies. These cards are designed to be displayed in visible areas, such as pharmacy counters, to inform clients effectively. Campaign materials, including these cards, have been distributed to all member pharmacies.
