Diabetes in children is little known because it is rare; on the other hand, it needs a different perspective because it lasts throughout life. For example, it is the perceptions, ignorance, prejudices and insensitive attitudes about diabetes that ‘overshadow’ the lives of children/young people with diabetes, rather than the diabetes itself.

In this exhibition, we present the perspectives and friendly approaches of 13 children to diabetes. We aim to bring you into the world of children with diabetes with the exhibition ‘Is Diabetes My Friend? Look Through My Eyes!’, which we combine with documentaries, photographs and the spirit reflected on the glass by the traditional art branch of stained glass.
