This year, we are organizing a multifaceted initiative that includes a Diabetes Health Walk, community engagement activities, and the establishment of School Diabetes Clubs. Our goal is to educate, inspire, and empower individuals and communities to take proactive steps towards better diabetes management and prevention.
**Objectives:**
1. **Raise Awareness:** Increase public understanding of diabetes, its risk factors, and the importance of early detection and management.
2. **Encourage Physical Activity:** Promote a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, emphasizing the role of exercise in diabetes prevention and management.
3. **Foster Community Support:** Engage local communities in discussions and activities that support individuals living with diabetes.
4. **Empower Youth:** Establish School Diabetes Clubs to educate students about diabetes and encourage healthy habits from a young age.

*1. **Diabetes Health Walk:** - **Location:** Makeni City Bombali District Sierra Leone West Africa-
**Time:** 9 am -
A community walk aimed at promoting physical activity and raising awareness about diabetes. Participants will receive educational materials on diabetes prevention and management.
2. **Community Engagement Activities:** - **Health Fairs:** Organize health fairs featuring free screenings, nutritional workshops, and expert talks on diabetes management. - **Interactive Booths:** Set up booths with resources on healthy eating, physical activity, and diabetes management strategies. - **Support Groups:** Facilitate discussions and support groups for individuals and families affected by diabetes.
3. **School Diabetes Clubs:** - **Formation of Clubs:** Partner with local schools to establish Diabetes Clubs that educate students about diabetes, healthy eating, and the importance of physical activity. -

Organize regular workshops, guest lectures, and fun activities that promote awareness and healthy habits among students.
