The Bovell Cancer Diabetes Foundation is hosting its 16th Annual Diabetes in the Limelight Jambore (a day-long activity), offering a wide array of free health services and activities for the entire community/country. Attendees can take advantage of glucose and blood pressure testing, A1c tests, cholesterol testing, strength assessments, and foot care exams. The event will feature nutrition education, food demonstrations, and a stroke prevention booth, as well as a weight clinic and a healthy cooking competition. Fun and interactive elements include a "Spin to Win" booth, giveaways, and a school children education booth with storytime and arts and crafts. Additionally, eye doctors, dentists, nurses, and a spiritual booth will be available to address holistic wellness.
