We shall organise a patients' Symposium where we are going to conduct health education talks on self care aspects of diabetes such nutrition, foot care, dental and eye care. We shall have screening for diabetic retinopathy, high risk foot and dental complications. We shall also have a food demonstration point for our patients based on our local foods. The symposium will take place in Mengo Hospital on 14th November at 8am. We shall also have a CME on updates in management of diabetic foot at Imperial Royal Hotel at 6pm. We invite the general public for health education talks on diabetes as well as free screening for hypertension and diabetes.
