In the proximity of World Diabetes Day, the IDF SACA Region in collaboration with Diabetes Experience Day Latin America (DECLA), celebrate a digital day, which can be followed live from anywhere in the world, with the aim of responding to the concerns and questions of people living with diabetes and their families. The purpose of DIABETES EXPERIENCE DAY-LATIN AMERICA this year is to achieve a participatory edition that can address the real concerns of people with diabetes over time. This year's theme is Diabetes: Educating to Protect the Future. We recognize that people who have the knowledge and support to manage their diabetes are healthier than those who do not. We expect DECLA 2022 to positively impact the lives of people with diabetes and their families.
GOALS:
1. Educate about diabetes through the experiences of people living with diabetes and their families.
To impact with the message of DIABETES EDUCATION TO PROTECT THE FUTURE in a way that raises awareness about the importance of access to diabetes education and its impact on improving the quality of life of people with diabetes.
3. To disseminate, through the virtual world to reach the greatest number of people with diabetes the message EDUCATE DIABETES TO PROTECT THE FUTURE.
4. To engage and raise awareness throughout society about the importance of promoting the well-being of people with diabetes and their families, giving them a space to learn and share their life stories and lessons learned in their journey of living with diabetes.
