To talk about the relationship between diabetes and COVID-19, contagion risks, how to prevent and take better care, the ViDA & Ação Portal brought on Monday (16) a meeting between two specialists on the subject and a diabetic patient who has just to cure the disease caused by the new coronavirus:
endocrinologists Jacira Caracik, director of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabology - Regional São Paulo (Sbem-SP), and Isabella Calil, assistant physician at the Obesity and Eating Disorders Clinic at the State Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology Luiz Capriglione (Iede-RJ) , and journalist Sheila Vasconcellos, from the Diabetic Association of Lagoa (Adila) and member of the Blue Circle Voices (BCV).

The Live, presented by journalist Rosayne Macedo, editor of the ViDA & Ação Portal, was broadcast on Facebook and on the YouTube channel and held meetings that are part of the Special Diabetes, which features a series of articles on the disease. During the live, some data from the International Diabetes Federation were used on the incidence of diabetes worldwide and recent research on the impact of the pandemic.
